Employment Standards
Each province or territory have employment standards that need to be followed by employers. These standards set out the employment conditions for hours of work, payment of wages, leaves, vacation, holidays, and more. For example, farm workers under the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program (SAWP ) must be paid according to the SAWP contract while all other employees must be paid at least minimum wage per hour.
