Canada has many immigrant-serving organizations that help newcomers settle in Canada. These organizations are funded by the Canadian government and their services are free. They are excellent sources of information and they can assist with:

 

• Obtaining official documents and government services

• Searching for employment

• Improving your qualifications and skills

• Finding housing

• Registering for free language training

• Helping with general concerns you might have

 

The CANN Information for Newcomers pamphlet has a list of immigrant-serving organizations in your area. If you have not received this pamphlet, please ask a CANN officer for one.
